LEVITTOWN, NY — The owner of a Levittown carpet store is pleading for the community to help her find her dog, who was stolen from in front of the store Tuesday.

ABC7 reported the story of Nancy Skolnick, owner of Carpets & Us, located on Gardiners Avenue. Skolnick said that security footage showed a woman and her two children playing with the 12-year-old Bichon Shih Tzu mix. Then the mother picked up the dog and walked away.

The dog, Ellie, requires medication. The family is looking to get her back, as she can't be away from home for too long.
