Duo Burglarized Levittown Home, Sold Off Stolen Goods: Nassau Police

Police say they were able to track the thieves down because they sold the things they stole.

LEVITTOWN, NY — Two people were arrested and charged with burglarizing a Levittown home earlier this week, Nassau County police said.

According to police, a homeowner returned to her home on Violet Lane in Levittown just before 2 p.m. on Aug. 31 and found the front door open and a woman walking out with some of her belongings. Police say the woman got into a car driven by a man, and the two fled the scene.

Police say the stolen goods were sold, but detectives were able to recover them, which led to the two suspects.
