Island Trees Library Trustee Election Bio: Kathleen Hutton
The library budget vote and elections will be held on Tuesday, April 23.

The following is a bio for Island Trees Library Trustee candidate, Kathlee Hutton.
The Island Trees Public Library budget vote and Trustee election will take place on Tuesday, April 23 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Library’s Dolores M. Morehouse Community Room.
“Kathleen Hutton, a married mother of twins, has always taken advantage of everything the library has to offer. From story time with her children when they were young to the fun craft classes offered, she has participated in many activities. Aside from being an avid reader, such multiple activities, functions, and offers at the library have drawn her to become an avid user.
Currently working as a Product Manager for Almo Distributing for the past 4 years, prior to that as an Operation Manager for 15 years with Pioneer Electronics, Kathleen has realized that her main extracurricular activities revolve around the library. So she thought, why not try to join the team? Why not make a difference in the use, function, and overall happiness that the library deals with daily?
As a past PTA president at LaSalle Regional School as well as chair and organizer of the many fundraising events, she has always had an urge to help get things done. From being a girl scout and cub leader to hosting a Fresh Air Fund child for 2 weeks every summer, the apparent need to assist others was always there.
Kathleen feels that with everything the library has offered her and her family, that maybe it’s time to give something back through volunteering some of her time to become a trustee.”
