
The Levittown School District will hold their fourth budget planning session and first budget hearing Wednesday night, with the adoption of the 2013-14 budget expected.
The tax levy and tax rate projections, as well as a budget recap will also be on the agenda for the meeting.
The proposed 2013-14 budget has come in at $195,590,207, an increase of 2.94 percent of $5.59 million from last year.Â
The budget is broken down into three main components: Instructional Programming, the biggest cost, which is $166,235,538; Administrative, which is $12,119,495; and Capital, which amounts to $17,235,173.
At the third budget presentation, the board of education discussed the capital component of the budget, which covers buildings, grounds and maintenance. Â
