Levittown Science Olympiad Brings Home Multiple Wins

The team placed in the top in multiple events, and is going on to further competitions.

LEVITTOWN, NY — The Science Olympiad team at Division Avenue High School received the results from its first tournament, The Pennsylvania International, including a first-place win.

Competing against 73 teams, medals were won in the following events:

  • First Place, “It’s About Time” — Simar Parmar, Chris Powers
  • Second Place, “Bridge” — Gary Nepravishta, Grace Lim
  • Third Place, “Dynamic Planet” — Matt Chiu, Chris Powers
  • Third Place, “Trajectory” — Matt Chiu, Karan Shah
  • Sixth Place, “Gravity Vehicle” — Chris Powers, Simar Parmar
  • 10th Place, “WiFi Lab” — Matt Chiu, Karan Shah
  • 12th Place, “Anatomy” — Isabelle Saint, Nabiha Khan

The will go on to compete in the Cornell and Princeton Invitationals in preparation for the regional tournament on Feb. 12.
