Levittown Woman Reunited With Stolen Dog
Nancy Skolnick's support dog, Ellie, was stolen from in front of her Levittown store on Tuesday.

LEVITTOWN, NY — A Levittown woman was reunited with her medical support dog, which was stolen from in front of her store on Tuesday.
Nancy Skolnick's 12-year-old dog, Ellie, was stolen from in front of Carpets & Us, located on Gardiners Avenue, Tuesday afternoon. Skolnick owns the store, and Ellie was out front when she was picked up by a woman and her two children, and put into a car.
After more than 24 hours, Skolnick received an anonymous tip that Ellie was being brought to an animal shelter in Farmingdale. Skolnick was able to reunite with her beloved dog there.

Skolnick was doubly concerned because not only is Ellie, a Bichon Shih Tzu mix, her support dog, but Ellie also requires medication. If she was away too long, it could have had serious repercussions.
"Thank you everybody, I got such an outpouring," Skolnick told News 12.
