Makeshift Levittown Garage Catches Fire: PHOTOS
Levittown firefighters were called when a makeshift garage went up in flames Friday afternoon.

LEVITTOWN, NY — Firefighters have extinguished a blaze that broke out Friday afternoon in a makeshift garage in Levittown. The fire ignited around 12:45 p.m. on Mallard Road, officials said.
The Levittown Volunteer Fire Department received multiple calls about the blaze, and arrived to heavy black smoke billowing out of the building.
The homeowner knocked down the flames with a garden hose and firefighters extinguished the remaining fire, officials said.

The fire marshals office was investigating the cause of the blaze. No one was hurt.
