New Drive-Through Starbucks OK’d by Board, Blood Drive a Success

- Did you see the top story for Tuesday? Assemblyman Thomas McKevitt submitted a letter to the editor, thanking residents for donating blood at the July 17 Island Trees Library drive. He reported that a total of 48 pints of blood were collected.
- The Town of Hempstead Board of Zoning Appeals has approved a special exception to build a new drive-through Starbucks in Levittown. This new location will be located at the vacant Rayco4 building, which closed when they moved next door to a gas station.
- It’s Wednesday, so that means there will be Lobster specials at Miller’s Ale House! Miller's offers 1 1/4 pound whole maine lobsters with cole slaw and a side for $12.95 steamed and $14.95 stuffed. These offers are for dine in only while supplies last. More info. can be found here.
- What will the weather be like today? The National Weather Service says to expect mostly sunny skies, with a high near 81 and light winds.
