Now Open in Levittown: Hair Industry Salon

There’s a brand new hair salon in Levittown, one that promises to offer great services at competitive prices in a modern, hip environment.

Hair Industry Salon, located at 2890 Hempstead Tpke. next door to Cleo Nails and Calda Pizzeria, officially opened on Tuesday, July 16. The salon offers a wide range of services and products, from wash and haircuts, to full body organic spray tanning, keratin hair treatments, coloring, makeup and more.

In charge of Hair Industry is Donna Vagnone, who previously owned several successful salons in South Carolina.

“We’re very excited to be putting a salon in Levittown which offers reasonable prices,” said Vagnone.

The staff includes three beauticians and two makeup artists and assistants. One of the beauticians, Lisa, has 30 years experience, while another, Cathy, has over 20 years experience, Vagnone said.

“The girls we have are awesome, very professional and just excited as we are,” she said.

Vagnone said selecting this particular location in Levittown was a no-brainer.

“It’s a nice central location with a lot of volume,” she said. “It’s next to a well known pizza place, the library, a gym… we knew it was about ‘location, location, location.’”

The salon takes pride in its competitive prices. A ladies wash plus haircut is $20, while a gentlemen’s cut is $15. An organic half-body spray tan is $15 and $30 full-body. Hair Industry also offers a full line of Tigi products “cheaper than anywhere around - about $3 cheaper,” Vagnone said.

The salon is closed Monday’s, open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in summer and 5 p.m. otherwise, and Sunday by appointment only.
