Wantagh Fire Department Honors 9/11 Victims

Firefighters gather Tuesday morning to remember to remember those lost in terrorist attacks 11 years ago.

The Wantagh Fire Department held a remembrance ceremony Tuesday morning to mark the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. 

The memorial service was held in front of the Wantagh Fire District's Station 2 House next to MacArthur High School in Levittown. Former Wantagh firefighters who were killed during the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center were recognized including Tommy Haskel, Lee Fehling and Kevin Donnelly. 

The Wantagh Fire District encompasses all of Wantagh and parts of Levittown, Seaford, East Meadow and Bellmore as well as Jones Beach State Park and Massapequa's Tobay Beach.
