Zwanger Pesiri Begins Construction On Levittown Site

Radiology practice will be a full-service facility offering x-rays, MRIs, biopsies and more.

Construction on the new Zwanger-Pesiri on Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown officially began last Monday.

Cathy Masci, Director of Project Development at Zwanger-Pesiri, said that if all goes as planned, the project will be completed sometime in the summer of 2014. The timeline is partially based on the current progress of the upcoming Lynbrook location, Masci said.

The new Radiology practice is located at the site of the former Israel Community Center, which was knocked down in 2011.

The company held a groundbreaking ceremony back in May, with Town of Hempstead officials and Zwanger-Pesiri representatives joining together to celebrate.

The closest current Zwanger-Pesiri facility to the Wantagh-Seaford area is located on 126 Hicksville Road in Massapequa.

The Levittown location will be a full-service facility offering x-rays, MRIs, 3D mammography and biopsy procedures.

Zwanger-Pesiri has been in business on Long Island for over 55 years and currently has locations in Hicksville, Plainview Merrick, Massapequa, Lindenhurst, Smithtown, West Islip, East Setauket and Medford, as well as an upcoming location in Lynbrook.
