Sure, we could hop a train into Manhattan and see a show on the Great White Way. We could even see Lindy alumni on Broadway now that is starring in Lombardi.
But you really don’t have to travel far to see stars. They’re right in our very own backyard, at the high school, at the middle school and even at the elementary schools. There’s a plethora of talent gracing the stage in our schools.

Arsenic and Old Lace is a wildly popular comedy written in 1939 by Joseph Kesseling. It’s become know best by the 1944 film starring Cary Grant (The Philadelphia Story, An Affair to Remember) and directed by Frank Capra (It’s a Wonderful Life, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington).
The story follows the Brooklyn-native Brewster sisters. They are two of the sweetest ladies society has to offer, as evidenced by there continual charity: They give money to those in need, raise their nephew who believes that he’s President Theodore Roosevelt and give free room and board to those that cannot afford to go anywhere else.
However, they do have one, teeny, tiny flaw in their character....They poison old men and bury the bodies in the basement.
Other than that, they are really quite harmless! The fun part of this play is the journey on which Mortimer, their younger and very sane nephew, takes the audience. Try to stay sane amidst the kooky and eccentric characters we meet, but if at any point the logic of the Brewster sisters starts to sounds reasonable, it’d be best to just walk out of the theater.
