Welcome to Monday – a new day, a new, quieter, holiday week in Lindy dawning.

However, since tax day was pushed back this year to April 18, today’s list of things you need to know once again includes where you can get some tax information and forms.

1. Because of Emancipation Day on April 16, which was recognized in Washington, DC, on April 15, people have until midnight tonight to file taxes. If you still need to do your taxes or file an extension, check out the . Tax forms are available at its location at One Lee Avenue in the village. Or you can check out the LML website and find links to tax info and forms.

2. Schools are closed this week in the Lindenhurst School District for Passover, which starts tonight at sundown, and for Holy Week and Easter on April 24. They will remain closed April 18-22, but will due to snow days taken in January, according to the district.

3. In other School News, the Lindenhurst Board of Education has adopted the 2011-12 school budget:
