We’re seeking outspoken members of the community – the same ones who may have already spoken at the workshop this year, as well as fresh voices willing to speak up – to share their thoughts on video and in writing.
For instance:
- Is your child an athlete whose sport will disappear next year?
- Are you an elderly resident struggling to pay high taxes, even though you have no children in the district?
- Are you a younger resident in a similar situation?
- Are you a parent who just can’t fathom how one of their child’s favorite teachers will be laid off?
- Are you a parent who sends their kids to private school and still have to pay public school taxes?
- Or are you a past student who can’t believe the extra-curricular programs that played such a huge role in their lives will be gone?
Lindenhurst Patch wants to hear from you, so here’s your chance to give us your take on this year’s school budget process.
You can also e-mail barbara.loehr@patch.com with your thoughts and opinion pieces for consideration. We look forward to speaking with you soon!
4. Because the Gilgo Beach police investigation hits so close to home, and so many Lindy residents make the Town of Babylon beaches a second home in the summertime, Lindenhurst Patch is asking:
- How will the Gilgo case change the way you go to the ToB Beaches this summer?
E-mail barbara.loehr@patch.com with your answers. Lindenhurst Patch would like to know for an upcoming story.
