Lindenhurst Patch needs your help as it – along with Patch sites across Long Island – .

Lindenhurst Patch, video camera in hand, will be at the Lindenhurst Council of PTAs meeting where Meet the Candidate/Budget Presentation will take place on April 27 at 7:30 p.m. at elementary school.

We’re seeking outspoken members of the community – the same ones who may have already spoken at the workshop this year, as well as fresh voices willing to speak up – to share their thoughts on video and in writing.

For instance:

  • Is your child an athlete whose sport will disappear next year?
  • Are you an elderly resident struggling to pay high taxes, even though you have no children in the district?
  • Are you a younger resident in a similar situation?
  • Are you a parent who just can’t fathom how one of their child’s favorite teachers will be laid off?
  • Are you a parent who sends their kids to private school and still have to pay public school taxes?
  • Or are you a past student who can’t believe the extra-curricular programs that played such a huge role in their lives will be gone?

Lindenhurst Patch wants to hear from you, so here’s your chance to give us your take on this year’s school budget process.
