August 10 Lindy Edition: Open Mic & Bingo

Welcome to Wednesday, Lindy! As temperatures continue to climb this summer, here are some to help you stay and healthy during the heat of summer. Plus, be sure to check out of a South Shore beach.

Now, here’s what you need to know today:

1. There are several events happening today at the , including at 2 p.m. and at 7 p.m. See the LML website for more details and events.

2. The at Firemen's Memorial Park will be held Thursday, , from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event raises money for the Lindenhurst Kiwanis Club Scholarship Fund, to benefit students.

3. Doors open for the weekly Wednesday bingo at the Knights of Columbus-OLPH Council #794 at 8 a.m. It’ll start at 10:15 a.m.

4. Check out open mic night at on South Wellwood Avenue, starting It’s open to all and attracts performers of all ages.

5. There’s a Captree Power Squadron meeting at the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1421 tonight.

6. The 2011-12 supply list and elementary school supply list are now available on the ’s website. The 2011-12 calendar is also available.
