August 9 Lindy Edition: Meeting

Tuesday is here again, and as temperatures continue to climb this summer, here are some to help you stay and healthy during the heat of summer. Plus, be sure to check out of a South Shore beach.

Now, here’s what you need to know today:

1. The at Fireman's Memorial Park will be held Thursday, August 11, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event raises money for the Lindenhurst Kiwanis Scholarship Fund, to benefit students.

2. There’s a WOTM meeting at the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1421 tonight at 7 p.m.

3. The 2011-12 supply list and elementary school supply list are now available on the ’s website. The 2011-12 calendar is also available.

4. There are several reading programs ending today at the , including the , and Reading Programs. See the LML website for more details and events.
