Chicken Wing Restaurant Expands On Long Island

A chicken wing restaurant with over 2,000 locations worldwide will open a new location on Long Island soon.

AMITYVILLE, NY — A chicken wing restaurant chain is expanding on Long Island.

Wingstop is opening a new location in Suffolk County with a restaurant currently under construction at 725 N. Broadway in Amityville.

Wingstop restaurants are decorated with a 1930s and 1940s pre-jet aviation theme and primarily sell buffalo wings. It's famous for 15 wing flavors, including plain, Hawaiian, Mexican street spice, Cajun, mango habanero, atomic, hot lemon, original hot, hot honey rub, Louisiana rub, spicy Korean Q, hickory smoked BBQ, mild, lemon pepper and garlic parmesan.

According to Wingstop's website, the Amityville restaurant joins other Long Island locations in Massapequa, Lindenhurst, Levittown, North Babylon, Hicksville, Freeport, Bay Shore, Brentwood, Hempstead, Commack, Elmont, Hauppauge, and more in Queens, New York City and New Jersey.

According to Wingstop, the restaurant opened as a "small buffalo-style chicken wing restaurant" in Garland, Texas, in 1994 and began franchising in 1997.
