Child Pornography Arrest Made In Lindenhurst: Police
Taner Ocal, 22, of Lindenhurst, was arrested after possessing child porn and having sexual conversations with young girls, police say.

LINDENHURST, NY — A Lindenhurst man was arrested in connection with possession of child pornography Wednesday, Suffolk police said.
Suffolk County Police Digital Forensics Unit arrested Taner Ocal, 22, for possession of child pornography and for having sexually explicit conversations with two 10-year-old girls from Texas on social media and via text messages, police said.
The unit arrested Ocal after following tips from the Fort Worth Police Department in Texas, police said.

The girls reported their conversations—which took place in May and June of this year—to Fort Worth police and a search warrant was executed by Suffolk County Police at Ocal’s home at 291 North Indiana Avenue in Lindenhurst, police said.
According to police, the investigation determined Ocal had child pornography on his cell phone as well as text messages with several underage girls, police said.

Ocal communicated with the girls online via the Instagram handle @baddiedancehouse while posing as a female dance instructor and offering the girls help with their dancing abilities in exchange for inappropriate videos, police said.
Ocal was charged with possessing a sexual performance by a child, a class E Felony and promoting a sexual Performance by a child, a class D Felony, police said.
He will be held overnight at the Third Precinct and is slated to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on June 20, police said.
The investigation is ongoing according to police, detectives are looking into if Ocal was speaking to underage girls in other places in addition to Texas.
"Detectives are asking anyone with additional information or if you believe you are a victim to call the Digital Forensics Unit at 631-852-6279," the department said.
