Copiague Police Blotter: Fleeing An Officer

Copiague man arrested in connection with fleeing a Suffolk County police officer in Farmingdale.

COPIAGUE, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Copiague area from May 27 through June 2.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

June 2: Joshua Fernandez, 21, of 318 Ferraris St in Copiague was operating an unregistered moped in East Farmingdale and failed to comply when a police officer attempted to pull him over, police said. He was was arrested and charged with third-degree fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle and second-degree obstructing government administration, police said.
