Driver Arrested After Fleeing Car Crash In Amityville: PD
An Amityville woman was arrested after crashing her car into another car and hitting a motorcyclist before fleeing the scene, police said.
AMITYVILLE, NY — An Amityville woman was arrested after crashing her car and fleeing the scene on Thursday, according to Suffolk County Police.
Geannine Maddox, 47, of Amityville was arrested after crashing her vehicle into another car and a motorcyclist and fleeing the scene in North Amityville on Thursday, police said.
According to police, Maddox was driving a 2006 Infiniti when she made a U-turn on Broadway to head eastbound on Jefferson Avenue when she struck another vehicle and a motorcyclist shortly after 12 p.m. and then fled the scene, police said.

Police said Maddox was arrested "a short distance away" on Broadway around 12:25 p.m.
She was charged with one count of leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury, two counts of leaving the scene with property damage and one count of second-degree reckless endangerment, police said.

Police said there were no serious injuries.
Maddox is slated to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on June 18.
