Firefighters Battle House Fire In Suffolk, Arson Squad Probes: PD
Suffolk County Police Arson Squad detectives are investigating a residential fire in Lindenhurst Monday night, police say.
LINDENHURST, NY — Suffolk County Police Arson Squad detectives are investigating a residential fire that took place in Lindenhurst Monday night, police told Patch.
According to police, no one was in the home when the fire broke out on 1st Street around 10 p.m.
Upon arrival, photographer Anthony Frevola observed a "working fire at the rear of the home" on the second floor, he told Patch.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze using multi lines off engine 1-6-2, which was first on the scene followed by engines 1-6-3, Frevola said.
Mutual aid was provided by Copiague fire Department, North Lindenhurst Fire Department and the Town of Babylon.
