Hochman Re-elected as BOE Pres, Cunningham In As VP
Board takes on new vice president as new school year gets underway.

The Lindenhurst Board of Education made several moves during their recent re-organizational meeting, re-electing Donna Hochman as the board president and voting Mary Ellen Cunningham to vice president.
Both moves were made without issue from the board during the open meeting, heavily attended by local residents as the vote tallies were unanimous.
Hochman was elected to the role last year after serving as then-president Ed Murphy Jr.'s vice president. Murphy, who served this last school year as vice president, was not re-elected into either of the top two spots.
Cunningham has served on the board for several years and was a key force in helping the district rebound after Hurricane Sandy. This will be her first time in either top role for the board.
