Horsley, Library Hosting Blood Drive in July
Donors could earn two free tickets to see the New York Mets.

Legislator Wayne Horsley and the Lindenhurst Memorial Library will co-host a Summer Community Blood Drive at the library for Long Island Blood Services on Mon., July 15.
The drive will run from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the library on July 15 only.
“I am proud to partner with Lindenhurst Library and LI Blood Services at a time when blood donations are urgently needed across Long Island," Horsley said in a written statement. "Blood supplies are extremely limited at this time of year due to summer vacations and schedules that are busier than normal. There are no vacations for LI Blood Services. The need for blood is always present. I urge you to join me and give the gift of life to patients who rely on the generosity of blood donors each and every day.”
According to Horsley's office, Long Island Blood Services will provide each donor two free tickets to a New York Mets game.
Donors must bring picture ID; must be a minimum of 110 lbs.; age restricted to persons between 17 years and 75 years of age (over 76 years requires a doctor’s note); no tattoos within the last 12 months.
