Lindenhurst's , a senior guard for the C.W. Post women's basketball team, was named to the Daktronics Inc. East Region First Team. Players are chosen by the region's athletic communications directors. Recently selected as the 2012 East Coast Conference Player of the Year, Joyner leads C.W. Post in scoring averaging 17 points per game. She scored in double figures in all but two games this season, and topped the 20-point mark on nine different occasions. Among her season highlights from the scoring standpoint, Joyner scored 28 points versus Mercy on January 11, 27 points versus Bentley on December 18, 25 points versus the University of Bridgeport on February 4, and 24 points versus NYIT on February 1. In addition to her strong season finding the net, Joyner also ranks in the top 15 in the conference with 66 assists on the year. A 2008 graduate of Saint John the Baptist High School in West Islip, Joyner earlier this season was also named the East Coast Conference Player of the Week.
