July 26 Lindy Edition: Rescheduled Movie

Tuesday’s here, and though the sultry temps may be kept at bay again today, here are some to help you stay and healthy during the heat of summer. And be sure to check out of a South Shore beach.

Now, here’s what you need to know today:

2. BACCA presents a beginning today. It’ll run Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. through August 19 at the BACCA Arts Center in Lindenhurst. Children aged five to 15 will be taught musical theatre, acting, singing and choreography, and will perform in a showcase on August 19. Call 631-587-3696 or e-mail for more information.

3. There are several events happening at the , including Pirate Craft Buddies for YA at and for CH at and at 1 p.m. But at 7 p.m. has been canceled. See the LML website for more details and events.

4. The WOTM past night at the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1421 tonight runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

5. Space is also still available in the last two sessions of Lindenhurst Schools summer swim program, according to the district’s website. The cost for lessons is $35.00 per child; bring a check or money order payable to Lindenhurst Public Schools. Session Two started July 18. It runs through July 29. Session Three starts August 1 and runs through August 12. Class start times are 9 a.m., 9:45 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.

6. The 2011-12 supply list and elementary school supply list are now available on the ’s website. The 2011-12 calendar is also available.
