June 21 Lindy Edition: Promotions & Meetings

Tuesday’s here, and with it the official start of summer at 1:16 p.m. Here are some to stay cool and healthy during the heat of summer, and check out of a South Shore beach.

Around town Grade Five Promotions continue, and parents and students are gearing up for not only the , but also for the big Class of 2011 graduation this Friday night.

Both graduations will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the LMS Field.

The LHS graduation will be held for the very first time on a Friday, after being held on a Saturday morning for so long. And let’s hope for no rain for any of the graduations – especially not any rain like Lindenhurst received Friday night.

Now, here’s what you need to know today:

1. The regents and finals continue today. Finals at the also continue. The schedule of exams and associated bus schedule is available on the ’s website.

2. Tonight at E.W. Bower elementary school’s promotions will take place at Bower field. At ’s promotions will take place at the LMS. And at ’s promotions will happen at the LHS.

3. There are several events happening at the , including at 7 p.m. See the LML website for more details and events.

4. The Village board meeting scheduled for today will take place at .

5. A will take place at today, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

6. There’s a WOTM meeting at the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1421 tonight at 7 p.m.
