Around town Grade Five Promotions have finished, and now parents and students are gearing up for not only the (rain date tomorrow night), but also for the big Class of 2011 graduation this Friday night (rain date Saturday night).

Both graduations will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the LMS Field.
The LHS graduation will be held for the very first time on a Friday, after being held on a Saturday morning for so long. And let’s hope for no rain for any of the graduations – especially not any rain like Lindenhurst received Friday night.

Now, here’s what you need to know today:
1. Last night the very last E.W. Bower elementary school graduation took place at Bower field. Look for the story later today.
2. There are several events happening at the , including the start of the at See the LML website for more details and events.
3. Early dismissal at 11:30 a.m. at OLPH School.
4. Check out open mic night at on South Wellwood Avenue, starting It’s open to all and attracts performers of all ages.
5. There’s a Legion 20 meeting at the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1421 tonight at 7:30 p.m.
6. Doors open for the weekly Wednesday bingo at the Knights of Columbus-OLPH Council #794 at 8 a.m. It will start at 10:15 a.m.
