June 24 Lindy Edition: Class of 2011 Graduation

TIGF, Lindenhurst! No more pencils, no more books…or, in 2011, no more smart boards, no more laptops…because it’s the last day of school!

For many, that’s all they need to know today. But, wait, there’s more!

Here’s what else you need to know today:

1. The graduation happened at the LMS field last night, so the to the backup wasn’t needed. Look for the story soon.

2. The graduation is tonight at the field (, same bat time, same bat channel). It’s being held for the very first time on a Friday night, after being held on a Saturday morning for so long. Stay “tuned” to Lindenhurst Patch for any weather-related changes.

3. Early dismissal is at noon for elementary schools in the Lindenhurst School District and at 11:30 a.m. for OLPH School.

4. The BACCA Fourth Friday Concert Series presents Tripping Lily tonight at 8 p.m. at the BACCA Arts Center, 149 North Wellwood Avenue. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., admission is $10, and there will be a half an hour open mic before the band takes the stage at 8:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be available.
