Laser Pointed At Aircraft In North Amityville Investigated: Police
It happened at around 8:15 p.m., Suffolk police said.
NORTH AMITYVILLE, NY — There was a report of people pointing flashlight lasers at aircrafts in North Amityville on Wednesday night, Suffolk police said.
The incident took place on Albany Avenue at around 8:15 p.m., police said, adding that when police arrived, no one was there.
News 12 reported that the light was pointed at passing aircraft, causing the Republic Airport Tower to send a warning to pilots in the area around 8 p.m.

At least three pilots reported being hit by a laser, the outlet reported. A pilot from Chopper 12, which was also en route back to the airport, said a laser was pointed at them multiple times, according to the outlet.
