Lindenhurst Basketball Star Honored

Lindenhurst’s , a senior guard for C.W. Post’s women’s basketball team, was recently named the East Coast Conference Player of the Week.

Joyner averaged 21.5 points in two games this past week in wins over College of Saint Rose and Bentley University, shooting 50 percent from the field in the two games.

A graduate of Saint John the Baptist High School in West Islip, Joyner scored a season high 27 points in C.W. Post’s 85-71 upset victory over top-ranked Bentley on December 18.

On December 16 against Saint Rose, Joyner had 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the Pioneers' 59-50 victory.

For the season Joyner is averaging 18.7 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
