Lindenhurst's fire department is holding a blood drive on Monday, June 11, in light of what is being called an "emergency blood shortage."
The department is located at 225 South Wellwood Avenue, and they will be accepting donations between 2:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
According to the flyer, eligible donors will receive Mets tickets for their contribution. For medical questions regarding blood donation, call 1-800-688-0900. To schedule an appointment for this Monday in Lindenhurst, call 1-516-356-6617.
