Lindenhurst Scout Achieves Rank of Eagle
Thomas Grumet recognized by Suffolk Legislator Horsley at Eagle Court of Honor.
Thomas Grumet, a Lindenhurst resident and member of , recently received the prestigious Eagle Scout award.
His troop is sponsored by Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1421, also in Lindenhurst.
Grumet’s Eagle service project included the supervision and maintenance of the parsonage at Simpson United Methodist Church in Amityville, according to a release from Suffolk County Legislator .

The scout’s project included landscaping and beautification, replanting, cleaning gutters and painting the church’s fence.
Many of Grumet’s family members, friends and peers attended his Eagle Court of Honor. In addition, he was honored by Horsley “for completing the difficult journey that leads to the highest award in scouting.”

Planning Board Member Tom Donnelly, Village of Lindenhurst Deputy Mayor Kevin McCaffrey and Village of Lindenhurst Trustee Mike Lavorata also attended the ceremony.
