LINDENHURST, NY — The Village of Lindenhurst celebrated the 50th anniversary of its senior center in August with a carnival-themed Golden Celebration.

Lindenhurst's Rainbow Senior Citizens Center held a “50 Years of Fun” day to celebrate its half-a-century of service to the seniors of our community. True to its carnival theme, the party featured games, prizes, special crafts, music, food and goodie bags for each senior.

“We thank the staff and volunteers, both past and present, of the Lindenhurst Rainbow Senior Citizens Center for 50 years of dedicated service to our community," said Village Trustee Maryann Weckerl. "The Rainbow Center is a place where we strive to make our seniors feel welcome, happy, healthy, empowered, supported and loved.”
