Lindenhurst’s Spadone Achieves Eagle Scout Status
Suffolk Legislator Horsley congratulates local Lindy scout.

Lindenhurst resident, Thomas J. Spadone of Boy Scout Troop 2000, recently received the prestigious Eagle Scout award at nearby Copiague Middle School.
Spadone’s Eagle service project was the supervision, construction and installation of three benches at the Thea Bowman Residence, according to a release Suffolk County Legislator ’s office about ’s achievement.
This project included landscaping and clean-up of the adjacent gardens.

“His project allows residents a quiet peaceful area to relax and enjoy nature,” noted the release.
Many of Spadone’s family members, friends and peers attended his Eagle Court of Honor.

In addition, Spadone was honored by Horsley for “completing the difficult journey” that leads to the highest award in scouting.
“The Boy Scouts of Suffolk County affords boys from all walks of life an opportunity to develop their potential, make friends and contribute to their community,” according to the release.
