Lindy American Family Fun Day Raises Money for Tourette Syndrome

The annual fundraising event also raises awareness.

The Lindenhurst American is slated for this .

Sponsored by Astoria Federal Savings, the event raises money for the Tourette Syndrome Association of Long Island and serves to raise awareness about this disorder.

The fundraiser will take between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the field at Town Hall.

Admission is free for adults, but $10 per child, which includes a t-shirt, according to league officials.

There'll be plenty for kids and families to enjoy, including inflatables carnival games, DJ music, sand art, face-painting and tye-dying.

Prizes will be given and refreshments will be available, as will tickets for a Chinese auction.
