Lindy's Valerie Oyakhilome Signs Letter of Intent

Lindenhurst High School senior forward Valerie Oyakhilome signed a national Letter of Intent to play basketball at Fairleigh Dickenson University. 

Oyakhilome was a tremendous impact player on the girls’ varsity basketball team during her time in Lindenhurst.

Valerie led the Bulldogs to a successful 12-8 season. She averaged more than 22 points and 10 rebounds per game. Valerie was selected numerous times as the Player of the Game, was featured in Newsday and awarded with All-League and All-Conference honors. 

“She is a dedicated athlete who spent many hours improving her game,” said coach Gregg Flynn.
