LIRR Delays Continue Tuesday Morning
Train delays on the Babylon Branch to Lindenhurst and other Long Island stations persist.
The -related that wreaked havoc on the LIRR have carried over into the morning commute on the Babylon branch, which runs through Lindenhurst.
As of 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday the MTA website has been reporting delays on the line.
Specifically, the MTA Service Notice said:

The LIRR is operating with delays up to 15 minutes on the Babylon Branch due to continuing weather-related signal problems.
During the August 2 morning commute the Babylon line was experiencing delays up to 30 minutes, cancelations and changes, all due to continuing weather-related signal problems.

The current service notice also noted the following delays for commuters:
- The 8:37 a.m. from Babylon due in New York at 9:50 a.m. is 11 minutes late at Rockville Centre.
- The 8:16 a.m. from Babylon due in New York at 9:31 a.m. is 10 minutes late at Rockville Centre.
Previous LIRR delays included:
- The 7:29 a.m. from Babylon due in Atlantic Terminal at 8:43 a.m. was reported 29 minutes late at Jamaica.
- The 7:37 a.m. from Babylon due in New York at 8:48 a.m. was reported 29 minutes late at Jamaica.
- The 7:45 a.m. from Babylon due in New York at 8:56 a.m. was reported 25 minutes late through Jamaica.
- The 8:16 a.m. from Babylon due in New York at 9:31 a.m. was reported 10 minutes late at Rockville Centre.
The MTA also told customers heading in for their Tuesday morning commute that NYC Transit would cross honor LIRR fares from Jamaica to Brooklyn's Atlantic Terminal due to earlier cancelations this morning
