Man Wanted After Using Counterfeit Cash At Long Island Coffee Shop: PD

Suffolk police are asking for help identifying a man who used a fake $50 bill to buy coffee in Lindenhurst in September, police say.

LINDENHURST, NY—The Suffolk County Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying a man who purchased items with counterfeit money at a Lindenhurst business.

Police say he purchased items at Muni’s Coffee Joint located at 222 North Wellwood Avenue with a counterfeit $50 on September 19 at around 1:50 p.m.

Anyone with information may contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, via the mobile app P3 Tips, or online at P3Tips.com. All calls, text messages and emails will be kept confidential.
