Meet Dan, Shelter Pet of the Week

Seeking a new family pet? This sweet pup might be the right one for you and your family.

Dan is a docile, sweet and handsome American staffordshire terrier who's seeking a forever home. He came to the Town of Babylon Animal Shelter a little more than two months ago unneutered.

According to shelter officials, the people who originally wanted him for breeding didn't come back for him within the seven-day timeframe, and they decided against adopting him after learning he was neutered, as per shelter policy.

So he's been there ever since, ever hopeful that another loving family will come along and take him home, to stay.
