Meet Lindenhurst High's Valedictorian And Salutatorian
Lindenhurst High School's Class of 2024 valedictorian and salutatorian are Veronica Rusnak and Broc Brown.

LINDENHURST, NY —This year's valedictorian and salutatorian at Lindenhurst High School are both dedicated scholars with well-rounded interests.
Valedictorian Veronica Rusnak and salutatorian Broc Brown both have weighted GPAs of over 100, support school sports and serve their communities in various ways.
Rusnak has a weighted GPA of 104.17, but her accomplishments aren't limited to text books. She's served on the executive board of the computer club and taken part in the symphonic band and is a varsity cheerleader, the Interact Club and the Environmental Club.

In the fall, Rusnak plans to major in computer science.
“It is rare to find someone like Veronica who combines incredible intellect, the ability to connect with others, and a genuine passion for making a difference in the world,” said her guidance counselor Mathew Ward. “Veronica's academic achievements are nothing short of remarkable. However, what truly sets her apart is her unwavering determination and ability to maintain a positive attitude, even in the face of adversity.”

Brown's report boasts a weighted GPA of 104.06. He's served as the president of the National Honor Society and the DECA Club, as captain of the varsity tennis team and as a volunteer youth flag football coach. Brown's also a member of the Student Council board and the Peer Leadership program.
He's also active in charity work and helps to raise funds to donate football equipment to underserved communities.
Brown will attend the University of Alabama in the fall where he plans to major in sports management.
“Broc is a gifted student and a strong minded, extremely mature individual,” said Ward. “When I think of Broc, I honestly cannot think of one negative characteristic. He is an incredibly bright, kind, caring, and respectful person.”
