A Lindenhurst family is asking for the public's help in locating their missing dog.

A Lindenhurst family on North Indiana Avenue is missing their female maltese.
The older dog was lost earlier on Wednesday and is described as wearing a distinct collar. The owner says they would be able to pick out their dog's distinct facial features.
The family suspects the dog might have been picked up by a good Samaritan.
