New Greek Eatery To Open Next Week
Pita Bowl, a casual Greek restaurant, opens next Monday.
Lindenhurst, NY — Another new eatery will open next week in downtown Lindenhurst, where a revival of new businesses means new dining options for locals. Pita Bowl is a casual Greek-food build-your-own style restaurant that will open Monday, February 17th at 11 a.m., according to Dean Leunes, one of the owners along with his parents Rea and Steve Leunes. Pita Bowl is located at 280A North Wellwood Avenue.
This is the first restaurant the threesome is opening together, Dean told Patch, but his mother Rea worked in the diner business before eventually opening her own clothing boutique in Lindenhurst, Ces't La Vie Boutique. Dean is a culinary graduate of Johnson & Wales University where he developed the concept for Pita Bowl. Dad Steve Leunes will be the executive chef.
"We lived in Lindenhurst our entire lives— it was only right to open a business in our community, serving our friends and family great food."
