North Lindenhurst Man Linked to Six Burglaries Sentenced

Alfred Giglio, 22, receives two years in an upstate prison, according to the Suffolk County district attorney's office.

A 22-year-old North Lindenhurst man, who Suffolk Police linked to six area burglaries back in , was sentenced to two years in an upstate prison and three years of post-release supervision.

First Precinct detectives arrested Alfred Giglio and charged him with six burglaries that occurred between July and October of this year in Lindenhurst, North Lindenhurst and Copiague.

As part of his sentencing the office of Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said that Giglio will "have to make restitution to his victims where appropriate – the county probation department will calculate the restitution."

When Giglio was arrested on October 7, Lindenhurst Patch that Giglio pleaded not guilty to the charges at his arraignment the next day.

Today's sentencing - which was handed down by Suffolk Court Judge Martin Efman - comes after "a superior court information" where he pleaded guilty to the charges on October 26, according to the SCDA's office.
