Observing the Holidays in Lindenhurst
Here's a list of places to worship in the community this Easter and Passover weekend, for those who observe.
With Good Friday, Easter and Passover this weekend, Lindenhurst Patch has compiled a list of religious institutions in the community where residents could worship, for those who observe.
For starters at (OLPH) the Solemn Liturgy of the Passion and Death of the Lord will be held at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Good Fridaywhile the Stations of the Cross start at 12 p.m. on Good Friday.
The Pascal Vigil Service on Holy Saturday - concluding with Concelebrated Mass - will begin at 8 p.m. RCIA Baptisms will be held at the Vigil Mass. No other services will be held.

On Easter Sunday Mass will be held at 6:30 a.m., 8 a.m., 9 a.m. (Polish Mass, auditorium), 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. There’ll be no baptisms or evening Mass.

The Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic Church's special holiday schedule starts on Great (Good) Friday with the Great Vespers with Procession with the Plashchenitsa at 4 p.m.
The Divine Liturgy of Saint Basil the Great - the Proclamation of the Resurrection is set for 9 a.m. on Great Saturday. The Blessing of Easter Food will also take place on Great Saturday at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. while confession will be held 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
On Easter Sunday the Service at the Tomb starts at 7:30 a.m.; Paschal Procession and Matins begins at 7:45 a.m.; and Easter Divine Liturgy (English/ Ukrainian) commences at 9 a.m.
