Places to Observe the Holidays

With Good Friday, Easter and Passover this weekend, Lindenhurst Patch has rounded up where you can worship, for those of you who observe, and compiled a list of religious institutions in the community.

For starters, today (OLPH) is holding the Pascal Vigil Service at 8 p.m. It'll conclude with the Concelebrated Mass.

For Easter Sunday masses will be held at 6:30 a.m., 8 a.m., 9 a.m. (Polish Mass in the auditorium), 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. There will be no baptisms or evening mass.

The Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic Church also has a special schedule. Today, the Blessing of Easter Food will happen at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. Confession is set for 3:30 p.m. -5:30 p.m.

The church’s schedule for Easter Sunday includes a 6 a.m. Service at the Tomb, Paschal Procession and Matins at 6:30 a.m., a Divine Liturgy at 7:30 a.m. (Ukrainian) and Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. (English).

has a special schedule this weekend, too. Today’s program includes the Easter Vigil Service, which will start at 8 p.m., and no Contemporary Worship Service will be held.

On Easter Sunday there will be a 5:45 a.m. Sunrise Service at Venetian Shores, plus 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Worship Services. There will be no Sunday School. View the full schedule on the church’s website.
