Police: Two Lindenhurst Men Arrested for Possessing Stolen Packages
Suffolk Police say that Colby Fiedler and Vincenzo Francese were holding packages that were recently reported stolen from the front of homes in Lindenhurst.
Two Lindenhurst men were charged with three counts of criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree on Tuesday night after Suffolk Police found them to be holding several packages that had been recently reported stolen from the front of homes in Lindenhurst.
Following an investigation by First Precinct Crime Section officers, police arrested Colby Fiedler, 19, and Vincenzo Francese, 19, at Fiedler’s home in Lindenhurst at approximately 5 p.m. today.
During the past three weeks, police said, several residents in Lindenhurst reported that packages that had been delivered and left in front of their homes had been taken.

One resident was able to capture a silver four-door vehicle on his home’s video surveillance system, according to police. Today another victim of the thefts also observed a similar vehicle in the Lindenhurst area and notified police.
The investigation, police said, revealed that the two men were allegedly in possession of five different delivery boxes that were addressed and delivered via UPS and the United States Postal Service to other individuals in the Lindenhurst area.

Both Fiedler and Francese have been issued appearance tickets by police, and they're scheduled to be arraigned on the criminal possession charges at First District Court in Central Islip on February 27.
Francese is also facing a charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, police said.
