Reminder: Aldi Supermarket Opening on Thurs.

Lindenhurst residents will have a new option for food shopping come tomorrow – Aldi Supermarket will finally open its doors to the public at its new Park Avenue locale.

A grand opening celebration will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at the store located just west of the Great South Bay Shopping Center on Montauk Highway.

Following the ribbon cutting, Aldi officials will hold an official public opening, product sampling and on-site sweepstakes. From 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., the store will also host a cookout with free hot dogs and refreshments.

The new Lindenhurst store is a part of Aldi's expansion efforts nationwide. The supermarket chain already operates several locations on Long Island, including those in Bay Shore and Lake Grove.
