SCPD Holds Property Auction

Tools, electronic equipment, bicycles, clothing and three boats are among items on the auction block June 22, according to Suffolk Police.

The Suffolk County Police Department Property Section has scheduled a property auction this Wednesday at the SCPD’s the property section building in Yaphank.

According to a release on June 17, among the items being auctioned on June 22 at 8:30 a.m. are hand and power tools, small household appliances, electronic equipment, designer handbags, gun scopes and cases, car stereos and equipment, boats, outdoor plants, bicycles and clothing.

There will also be two row boats and one inboard/outboard boat auctioned. A preview for these three items only is scheduled for June 21 between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. No motor vehicles or motorcycles will be sold at this particular auction.

The event will be held rain or shine, according to the release, and all items will be sold in “as is” condition. All purchases are subject to New York State sales tax, and payments must be made in cash.

The property section building is located next to Suffolk Police headquarters at 30 Yaphank Avenue.
