Following the recent of at the Lindenhurst LIRR station, the railroad announced it would review the safety of all escalators and install new systems and monitoring devices on its oldest escalators.

According to a report in Newsday, a comprehensive review of safety measures, maintenance practices and reporting procedures will cover 19 of its oldest escalators.

In addition, the new technology will also be added on escalators at the Lindenhurst station.
